Shipping Policy

Processing Time

All orders are processed within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays).
If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, processing times may be slightly delayed.

You will receive a confirmation email once your order has been shipped.
 

Shipping Within New Zealand

We ship all orders via Aramex.

Estimated delivery times:

  • Urban areas: 1–3 business days

  • Rural areas: 2–5 business days

Delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to factors outside our control.
 

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on:​

  • Price

Any applicable shipping charges will be clearly displayed before you complete your purchase.
 

Standard Shipping

  • $9.00 for orders from $0.00 – $55.00

  • $6.00 for orders from $56.00 – $100.00

  • Free shipping on orders over $101.00
     

Local Delivery

  • Area: Christchurch (within 10 km)

  • Delivery time: 1–2 days ( 0600hrs - 2100hrs)

  • Rate: $2.00

  • Free delivery on orders over $50.00
     

Pickup

  • Address: 2A Roberts Road, Hei Hei, Christchurch 8042, New Zealand
    Please wait for pickup confirmation, before collecting your order.
     

Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a tracking number via email so you can follow your delivery with Aramex.
 

Rural Delivery

Rural delivery may take longer than standard delivery times. Additional rural delivery charges may apply and will be shown at checkout.

International Shipping 

We currently do not ship internationally.
 

Delivery Issues

Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout. We are not responsible for delays, lost parcels, or failed deliveries due to incorrect or incomplete address details.

If your parcel is delayed or missing, contact us at contact@nivy.co.nz, and we’ll help you follow it up with Aramex.

Return & Exchange Policy

At Nivy STEM, we comply fully with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) and the Fair Trading Act 1986 (FTA). This policy explains your rights and our obligations.

Your Rights Under New Zealand Law

Under the Consumer Guarantees Act, customers are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if goods:

  • Are faulty or defective

  • Are not of acceptable quality

  • Are unsafe

  • Do not do what they are normally expected to do

  • Do not match the description or sample provided

These rights apply regardless of any store policy.

Faulty or Defective Products

If a product is faulty, damaged, or defective:

  • You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund

  • If the fault is minor, we may choose to repair or replace

  • If the fault is serious, you may choose a full refund or replacement

A fault is considered serious if:

  • The product is unsafe

  • It would not have been purchased if the fault was known

  • It cannot be easily fixed or takes too long to fix

Change of Mind

We are not required by law to offer refunds for change of mind.

However, Nivy STEM offers the following goodwill policy:

  • Change of mind returns accepted within 14 days

  • Item must be unused, in original packaging, and in resaleable condition

  • Proof of purchase required

  • Refunds will be issued as exchange / original payment method

This does not affect your rights under the CGA.

Proof of Purchase

To process returns or refunds, please provide:

  • Receipt, invoice, or order confirmation

  • Bank statement (if receipt unavailable)

Items Not Eligible for Return (Unless Faulty)

The following items cannot be returned for change of mind:

  • Gift cards

  • Downloadable or digital products

  • Personalised or custom-made items

  • Clearance or final-sale items

(If these items are faulty, CGA rights still apply.)

Online Orders

For online purchases:

  • Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery

  • Customer is responsible for return shipping

  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable

Refund Processing

  • Refunds will be processed within 2-5 business days

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed
